Topic: FOG LIGHT HELP!!!

When you get your fog light lenses buy a set of clear protectors from Xpel . I have them on mine and the headlights as well they can withstand great force from rocks.

Just a note you can clear up your lenses from brown dirt embedded in plastic. get a kit from local parts house. then put on headlight protection. I gave some to Don and Connie at a sin city hook up I hope it is working good for them.

My headlight connector broke in half. Chrysler doesn't show the piece in their parts book. I know many European cars use the H7 bulb. So I will bet one from them. or a wrecking yard. Good think I understand the parts business. I'll post part number and where I got it. On the parts list we are building. Also 88,000 on our xfire.

Topic: Rear Wheel Bearing Part Number After Market
Posted: Monday, July 13, 2009 11:59:39 PM
The rear wheel bearing is made by SKF Part Number WKH757 It comes with the Special nut that is ruined when removed plus the Snap Ring. Chrysler those are Separate plus this cost me less than half of Chrysler's price. When the wheel bearing is removed from the housing. It has to be broken apart the center race stays on shaft. Kind of scary but this is normal for Benz and Porche to break them apart.

Benz Part no 2024600904 this is for the large housing. The tumbler you are stuck with Chrysler because Benz only recognizes the Benz Ven number to match up the key. But I saved a lot with this number.

Sorry Lee but my repair was under 500.00 because I got the major part from Benz at 110.00. I would suggest that any suspension parts ck a 2003 Benz the slk 300 series. As it has a v6, also engine parts. My Chrysler guy told me he gets Raped by Chrysler on crossfire parts. Connie I will post the part number for the housing. and rear wheel bearings that were a fraction of the cost but same manufacturer plus it came with the Special nut.

The key wouldn't turn at all . and they have to replace both pieces . If they replace one piece their customers come back with same complaint, until both pieces are replaced. So here is a tip buy part number 2024600904 from Benz.
In fact since Benz is no longer Chrysler and being in the parts business for many years. We should start a place here to store Benz part numbers as we find them. I saved over 200.00 on this part.

Today I was told I needed the whole key switch and tumbler assembly. I was told over 900.00 to replace it. I called Mercedes Benz and their housing was 130.00 and chrysler wanted over 300.00 then the cyl was over 150.00. The catch 22 is to order the tumbler from Benz they need a vin number from a Benz. So I ordered the housing from Benz today and tumbler from Chrysler. Stay tuned to see how it turns out. No wonder Crysler is in trouble. By the way about 87,000 miles

the only way to remove rear wheel bearing is to break the bearing by popping it apart. I did one with a press. and one with a large hammer. The rear of car was just noisy so I changed them . It didn't help much. So I am wondering if it is the Kumo tires I have on it now.
