A year or two ago someone talked about cleaning the front headlight plastic.
What did you use and how did you do it.
The dealer wants a $100.00 per car.
Thanks Ray

Here is a reference I found that might help you;
"The issue you speak about is probably caused by the reaction of chemicals in your water and the plastic cover. The covers get hazy, some even develop what looks like etching on them. I would suggest a good plastic cleaner. 3M makes one, Mother's, Meguiars all have them as well. If you do it by hand plan on it taking some time. I have this issue and I use any of the above products I have on hand with my Porter Cable buffer and an Orange cutting (buffing) pad. It takes about 5 minutes with the PC. I would strongly advise you get a PC buffer, you can also use it to polish your car. After I buff out the etching and haze I use my car polish and after every wash I use a detail spray. Mine tend to etch every 3-4 months. Try and get any water off the lenses after you wash your car quickly. My lenses looked pretty bad when I got my car 3 years ago. They sparkle now. As some have mentioned above you can get them replaced however I've even seen the replaced ones haze and etch. The last thing I want is the dealer messing with my car if its something I can fix. Good luck. Pat"

If they are really bad (cloudy, pitted), 3M makes a kit that works with your drill - uses several grades of sandpaper and polish. Costs about $20 at AutoZone. I used it and my headlights came out looking like new. Prepare for about 2 hours per light.
If they are not so bad, there is a product called PlastX that is fantastic! I use it every 3-4 weeks on my headlights to keep them perfectly clear. It also works wonders on my acrylic wind diffuser. My Durango's lights were pretty bad and this stuff all by itself made them come out nearly like new. It does require some elbow grease and may need multiple applications depending on how bad they are.
Good Luck!
