Welcome 383..................at least your 'fiance' is letting you buy a Xfire after the Trans Am is gone!
My .02cents would be to look around and learn as much about the Xfire as you can before purchasing.....joining this forum was a good start. You probably would get the best buy on an '04 or '05 coupe but make sure that it is in good condition and the lower the mileage might be best.
Of course you have to decide on whether you want a Coupe or a Roadster; in New Jersey, maybe the Coupe would be more popular and the better choice. Decide whether you want an AutoStick or a manual 6 speed. Not much else to choose unless you want to go with a SuperCharged SRT-6 that were only available in 2 years........AutoStick only! You will pay more for one of those but over the long haul might have the better resale value down the road.
Whatever you do, good luck and let us know if you have any specific questions.

Welcome to the forum, as far as performance parts there's one in NJ called TVT one of the owners name is Anthony. I've used them to have my ECU tuned and bought their camber kit that I needed after I lowered my car, they can help you with other performance parts. Then there's 2 other companies that I know of other Crossfire owners have used, Eurocharged in Plainfield, IL and Needswings in Warren, MI. These guys are great at what they do and are all members of the Crossfire International Car Club Inc.

i have another question about the diffrence between the srt-6, limited, and base
i know the srt is supercharged wich means stronger internals, but does it also have diffrent suspension mods as well and what is the diffrence in the other two.

Hi 383............we welcome your questions;
The SRT-6 is built for higher performance not only under the hood but it also has stiffer suspension, front air dam and fixed rear spoiler. You will also notice some signature stuff like embroidered SRT-6, special suede covered seats.
The Limited in 2004 was the only option available in that Coupe model...........all Xfires were about the same except for interior/exterior color choices.
The 'base' model came out in 2006, I believe and was a result of Daimler/Chrysler trying to reduce the price and promote higher sales of the Crossfire............thus they came out with the stripped down 'base' version; it has blacked out windshield frame, door handles and no fog lights; I also think they all have black cloth interiors and black exteriors..........you could save a couple thousand $$$ by purchasing a base coupe.
Hope that helps you.

It sure pays to be a buyer these days than a seller.
I'm not sure they would let ME take that color scheme across the Canadian border though.
